Our school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to satisfy the different interests of the students. For those who particularly enjoy numbers and problem solving, they can participate in the National Maths Competition.
Currently, a group of students will take part in this competition and they have already started their preparations. Every week at Friday noon, this group meets online to practice their maths skills. They do a variety of different exercises which allow them to develop their logical thinking and analytical skills. Together they think of ways to solve new problems and create different approaches to the same question. Through these activities, they prepare their minds for all the possible exercises they might encounter during the competition.
They can also ask their teacher questions and she will help them find a way to the solution. Natalia Sande is in charge of the group and is at the students disposition to answer any doubts. There are now a round 15 people in the group which range from 1YL to 5YL.
The Maths Competition will likely take place around mid-May, although the exact date is unknown. This means that there is still time for new members to join and participate in this event. All students in Senior School which enjoy Maths can sign up and be part of this club.
