This time, we have received recommendations from one of our readers, who felt eager to share their music tastes. This edition features the English bands The Beatles and Blur, and fellow American Bill Withers. Ghost Ship - Blur

Blur is an English rock band, which was formed in 1988. But this song is an alternative/indie single track from their eighth studio album, The Magic Whip. The song transmits a cool and chill vibe, one that is uplifting and summery. A certain lightness can be felt from the singer’s voice, background vocals, and playful melody and guitars.

Kissing My Love - Bill Withers

The famous “Lean on Me” and “Just the Two of Us” singer, Bill Withers, composed the funk and soul song “Kissing My Love” in 1972. Withers' strong, passionate, singular voice accompanied with groovy guitars and a head-bopping beat is an explosive combination. This love-filled declaration could sweep anyone off their feet for its charming, praising, and admiring lyrics.

You Never Give Me Your Money - The Beatles

This Beatles' rock number is from their album Abbey Road and was released in 1969. It starts with a piano, then a guitar, a drum, and the band members’ voices. Then, several instruments strike after the slower beginning, and further in comes the boogie-woogie piano, the mesmerizing backing voices that delight the listener, along with guitar arpeggios towards the end. The lyrics tell about the financial and personal struggles of the band.

Got To Get You Into My Life - The Beatles

Trumpets open this rock, rhythmic, and soulful recording from 1966, along with a persistent tambourine and drums. Later into the song a rhythm guitar makes a feature followed by a bass. Paul McCartney’s voice stays powerful and solid as ever throughout the song.
