The Adam Project (Movie)

The Adam Project is an American science fiction film that follows Adam, a renegade pilot who crashlands in 2022 and is forced to team up with his 12-year-old self to save the future.

What is really interesting about the movie is that the two Adams can not hide the fact that they absolutely hate each other since they find their “other self” extremely irritating.

However, it’s not because they just do not stand each other (here is the twist), it's due to the fact that, secretly, they are still suffering as a consequence of their father’s death, something that will be made clearer as the movie goes on.

I think the movie is made more for children than for adults because it is full of fiction, action, adventure, and, on top of that, has a very generous amount of special effects. Still, it is a very good movie to watch with your family.

Unwind (Book)

This book is set in a dystopic world after the war on reproductive rights is over. The resolution of this issue ended up being that if parents choose to, they can have their child unwound at age thirteen, and because every organ would be transplanted, life does not end. The book follows three teenagers that will try to escape and survive the unwinding their parents have already programmed.

Unwind is very raw and heavy; it deals with death since it is the main topic of the book. However, if you are up to that, it is great for people who like dystopias, and I bet you’ve never read anything like this. Apart from this, it is incredibly fast-paced and very funny which contrasts nicely with the hard topics it deals with. The characters are very complex and relatable so it is a very well rounded book you should absolutely give a try.

Mistborn: The Final Empire (Book)

This book follows Vin, a 16-year-old thief going through a journey of discovering the full extent of her Mistborn powers. Her mentor organizes the biggest haste in history that will end up in the downfall of the great ruler. It seems impossible and absolutely ridiculous, and it is, it really is, but with Vin’s powers in their team and the world's best thieves, they might actually have a chance.

This fantasy novel is guaranteed to show you a good time. The plot is extremely engaging it just traps you from the beginning, but what truly makes this an exceptional book is the world-building and the magic system. Besides, the characters are incredibly well written, their characterization alone is enough to recommend this book. I know high fantasy books have a reputation for having hard to understand language, but Brandon Sanderson’s accessible prose makes it easy for anyone to read, even if you have never given the genre a try, so there’s no excuse, go read it.
