Last week on Thursday 30th of September, the newest James Bond movie was released. It was the last film starring Daniel Craig as the iconic secret agent and scored the highest opening box office of the year so far.
It was the 25th movie on the character and it made £25.9 million in three days, according to Comscore, beating its predecessors. Craig revealed that ‘No Time to Die’ would be his last time playing James Bond and departed with an emotional goodbye to the crew and fellow actors.
In the film, the agent working under the codename 007 is relaxing on his retirement from MI6 in gorgeous Jamaica. But, his enjoyment does not last long after an old friend from the CIA asks for his help, causing him to encounter dangerous enemies and action once more.
Now that the role of James Bond is vacant, everyone is wondering who will be the next actor to play the incredible agent. Many online users have expressed interest in Regé-Jean Page, who stars in the romantic period drama ‘Bridgerton’, taking on the character. However, he has already denied the rumours, lowering the probability of him playing it.
Idris Elba is another actor that is being hoped to be James Bond, but the English-born producer has already ended the gossip in an interview with ITV London, stating that “No, I am not going to be James Bond”. Furthermore, he was questioned on whether he would like to take on the role at some point in his life, and he responded with “Who wouldn’t?”, so the internet is not despairing yet.
Daniel Craig has fulfilled the character of James Bond exceedingly well in the five movies he starred in, and we cannot wait to see who will play the role next or how the films will be beautifully produced.
