Lilibet Diana: Harry and Meghan's Daughter Is Finally Here!

Harry and Meghan gave the news that it was a girl during an interview with Oprah

On June 4, the Sussexes, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, welcomed their new daughter into the world. The couple got married three years ago on May 19, 2018, and had their first son Archie Harrison in 2019, who turned 2 last month. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that another baby was on the way on Valentine’s Day. Later, in their interview with Oprah Winfrey, they revealed that Archie’s new sibling would be a sister. Their daughter was born on the morning of Friday, 4th of June at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, in California.

Now, what is the name of the new baby girl? Well, she is named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, and her first name refers to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who is called Lilibet as a nickname by her family. Then, her middle name is Diana, honoring the Princess of Wales and mother of Harry, Lilibet’s late grandmother.

The pair expressed their thanks through the Archewell website: “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

Both of them announced that they are not planning on having another baby after Lilibet and feel happy with their son and daughter.
