Teatro D’ira - Vol.I - Måneskin
“Teatro d’ira - Vol. I” is the second album by Måneskin, released on March 19. After winning the 2021 edition of Eurovision, the Italian rock band gained a lot of popularity. Their latest album, which includes their winning song “Zitti e buoni”, became internationally recognized and reached charts across the world.
In contrast with the band’s previous work, “Teatro d’ira - Vol. I” was recorded live in order to recreate the atmosphere of 70s bootlegs. The result of this unique production resulted in a raw and innovative record. This experimentation is part of the band’s ideas for their music. As they explore different styles, the members wish to learn more about their music and themselves.
According to Måneskin, the title, which translates to “Theatre of wrath”, is meant to contrast the elegance of theatre with the intensity of anger. As a symbol for artistic expression, the theater was chosen to represent the physical place where the members channel and communicate their feelings. For them, this album is catharsis. Through the songs, they vent their emotions to reach change and rebirth.
Therefore, “Teatro d’ira - Vol. I” is an intense demonstration of human feeling. Their songs are strong declarations of individuality, in which they deal with the complexity of their emotions. By adding a personal aspect to the album, Måneskin makes it a great emotional experience that will definitely resonate with the audience.

Weird! - Yungblud
“Weird!” is the second studio album of English rock artist Yungblud. In this record, the artist pushes the boundaries of his music by including fresh sounds and influences. All Time Low, Green Day, and Beastie Boys are some sources of inspiration behind the tracks. By mixing his usual style with nu-metal and occasional hip-hop beats, Yungblud creates an exciting modern album, which breaks away from other works in the pop-punk genre.
Dealing with a wide range of current affairs, the singer speaks up about the many issues that trouble the younger generations. These include isolation, identity, and violence, among others. As he discusses such sensitive topics, his songs allow listeners to connect both with the artist and the music.
To make “Weird!” an even more personal experience, Yungblud uses his life as inspiration. The vulnerability he shows in his music is bound to inspire many listeners. This also makes the album feel authentic. The artist is opening up his heart and letting everybody see how he has grown.
This makes “Weird!” a distinctive coming-of-age record. As he shares everything he has gone through, Yungblud opens up conversations on delicate yet important subjects. Therefore, I believe this album is a great pick for anyone wishing to explore the intricate feelings of the youth.

POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR - Bring Me The Horizon
British band Bring Me the Horizon released the first part of a four EP project on October 30th, 2020. Each album will be centered on a different concept and will have a unique musical style. POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR will be the heaviest one of the four as it brings back the band’s previous metalcore style.
This harder sound was chosen to accompany the message behind the record. In their tracks, which the band has referred to as “battle songs”, they express the anger inside people. They let out their feelings of frustration and struggle alongside heavy, cathartic instrumentals.
Even though this album is inspired by their earlier music, multiple new sounds are included. Mixing genres, Bring Me the Horizon creates an unusual and creative record. The collaboration with several artists, including Yungblud, Babymetal, and Evanescence’s Amy Lee, makes it an even more notable work.
If you are looking for an album that feels modern but contains older influences, POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR might be for you. I recommend you give it a listen while paying close attention to the lyrics and the way they are accompanied by the music. You will discover how many of the topics dealt with are of high significance during our current times.
